Jason made the Lion’s Den team on October 13th 1996, when it was THE Elite team in the world and one of the first MMA teams in the world! Jason trained under Ken and Frank Shamrock, lived with Mike Burnett, Pete Williams, Frank Shamrock, Jerry Bolander and Matt Rocca. "We lived and breathed training, we were not even allowed to go out and do personal things during the week". Then from 2000 to 2006 Jason trained with the American Kickboxing Academy. Training with some of the best names in MMA such as Mike Schwick, Bobby Shouthworth, Paul Buenatello, Josh Thomson, John Fitch, Josh Koshcheck and Cain Velasquez all under the tutelage of Crazy Bob Cook and MMA guru Javier Mendez.”

Jason has been teaching and training fighters as well as the general public in Submission Grappling, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Boxing and MMA since 1998.

Jason has been mentioned in both the Jens Pulver’s and Forrest Griffin’s books and been featured in Ken Shamrock’s book (Beyond The Lion’s Den). He have since cornered over 100 professional and amateur fighters to a slew of victories and two professional world championship titles under the banner of StandAlone Mma
